Friend Myrna and I were scheduled to work at the Women's Shelter tonight. We went and got everything set up, plus there was one gal there preparing all the food. The 2 overnight people didn't show up so I made a call and discovered that the shelter had been closed for the evening because they didn't have overnight staff. They sent us emails at 4pm, but we didn't check after that. It was a disappointment, but we took the opportunity to pray for each other. It was the first time we met Rebecca. We asked the Lord to guide her and give her peace as He maps out the direction she should go, as there are several options floating around in her mind and she needs His help to decide what to do next regarding continuing education, work, etc.
Earlier tonight, I met Tom through our friend, Ceitci, and was able to tell him how excited I am and that attending his School of Power Evangelism has changed my life. I learned so much that I thought I'd explode trying to capture everything, so I bought the DVD's and hope to share them at church, possibly as an evening course this fall. That is a lofty goal, but we'll see what the Lord will do!
Two unexpected things happened during the School. I met Dian and she indicated she had not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. She's a really neat lady who has walked with the Lord her whole life...a very dedicated Christian. So we prayed in her car and it was so beautiful. This amazing language came out of her mouth. She began to laugh. I cracked up at her and together, we laughed hysterically. It was really a heavenly moment that went on for several minutes. Tongues and laughter....an excellent combination. I've heard about this Holy Spirit induced laughter. It makes me smile just thinking about it. The power of the Holy Spirit is going to move through Dian like never before and her world is going to be rocked!
The other was the Worship. Every session was quite wonderful but the last night was truly remarkable. For me, being on the worship team at my church, it is always great to be in the crowd during worship and even have the opportunity to go forward, which I did a couple times. The last night the music was intense and emotional and the whole room seemed to really be engaged. I went forward and was up there just worshiping with the others. We sang Revelation Song and maybe another and then that United song....The enemy has been defeated, death couldn't hold You down, We're gonna lift our voice in victory, make Your praises loud...Shout unto God with a voice of triumph, shout unto God with a voice of praise, shout unto God with a voice of triumph, We lift Your name up, We lift Your name up....and I was screaming it at the top of my lungs! We were all yelling praises and singing victory and I had a sense that we were leading the way for the troops. Our shouts of praises continued on and Tom tried to calm us down but we couldn't stop until a bit later. I thought about it a lot on my way home that night and determined that part of what happened was that the whole room of worshipers in the School had been so fabulously empowered by the Holy Spirit to step out of our comfort zones, be instruments of peace, deliverance, healing, salvation, encouragement and more that we could not contain our joy, our worship, our shouts of victory in His presence. It makes me want to be back in it again right now!!!

Suzan, so I read this posting yesterday and this morning the first part of my class at here at YWAM consisted of going to the prayer room on campus as a whole DTS group. We just worshipped and poured out adoration on God and by the end I was totally laughing in the Spirit. That's never really happened before but I couldn't stop smiling and laughing! It was great.
